How to Delete Your Account and Data
Delete Your Account
We respect your privacy and right to be forgotten. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Methods to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
- Open the My Green Garden app
- Go to Profile or Settings
- Tap on Account Settings
- Select Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
- Your account will be permanently deleted
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer email, you can request account deletion by contacting us:
We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm via email.
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, photo)
- Your plant collection and care records
- All photos you uploaded
- Your watering schedules and reminders
- Your community posts and comments
- All app preferences and settings
- Authentication credentials
Data Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Your account becomes inaccessible
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our databases
- Within 90 days: All backup copies are securely erased
Important Notes
- ⚠️ This action is irreversible - You cannot recover your account or data after deletion
- Some anonymized analytics data may be retained for legal and compliance purposes
- If you signed in with Google, you may need to revoke app access in your Google account settings
